Abstract

This theoretical essay discusses the signification of ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). Her purpose is to inform about the causes and the symptoms of the most common disorder in childhood.

ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder with some common features such as inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity, which are not compatible with the child’s development. ADHD is one of the commons disorders in childhood and its symptoms are distinct from infancy to adulthood.

The causes of ADHD include the interaction between many different factors, such as biological, environmental and social- psychological (factors). According to scientific studies, they demonstrate that the 75% of ADHD symptoms occur to genetic factors and heredity. Also, researches have found that the children who have ADHD, their brains differ from the other brains. They differ in the structure, the metabolism and the function in certain brain centers. Furthermore, in the course of pregnancy, early births, smoking, alcohol, drugs use and overanxious or any brain trauma are probably caused ADHD in the child.

On that note, ADHD has a vary of symptoms. The symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) can be categorized into 2 types: primary and secondary symptoms. The first category concerns about an intense movement (hyperactivity), a lack of focus and attention (inattention) and an impulsivity. On the other hand, secondary symptoms are the characteristics that are appeared when the environment interact with the child, (for example temper tantrums or antisocial behavior). It’s important the symptoms to be remain up to 6 months.

In conclusion, ADHD diagnosis should be exhaustively and carefully by observing the symptoms with interest for the purpose of resulting in safe inductions which will be a base of children’s learning improvement and also there is not any possibility of mistake or any bemusement with cases that is not classify at this category or there are normal reactions.
