Abstract
This study focuses on the development of a series of activities addressing issues from the field of materials science, aiming for their implementation in out-of-school learning environments. The research is conducted in the context of the MaSCot project, which aims to develop training programs for teachers and scientists to create meaningful scientific learning experiences in out-of-school settings. This study will present the educational reconstruction and the fundamental concepts of innovations in the field of materials science, as well as the activities designed to communicate advancements in materials science to students in out-of-school learning environments.
