An informative evaluation tool for learning difficulties
Abstract
Psycho-pedagogical Diagnostic Assessment of Learning Difficulties is a crucial phase in the process of detecting, exploring and locating the cognitive, emotional and social skills of the student. Early and reliable diagnosis of learning difficulties helps to develop effective intervention programs. This paper presents an informal evaluation tool for detecting learning difficulties, designed and constructed by a team of special pedagogues, based on a theoretical and scientific context, as well as in the curriculum for Primary Education. It focuses on the exploration of pre-school skills, the acquisition of reading skills, well-written writing, mathematical skills, writing, as well as social and emotional skills. The suggested exercises help the educator to get it quickly and easily and to draw direct conclusions, which are used to develop a personalized program to meet the student's educational needs.
