Abstract
In this paper we seek to study the learning difficulties in reading, comprehending, spelling and mathematical calculus in elementary school. We use various arrays of atypical diagnostic evaluation tests to find out the nature and extent of these difficulties in a Grade 4 student who is the subject of our research. Despite the reduced validity of such tests, their usefulness in formulating effective teaching strategies is great. The data of this case study gives us indications of deficiencies in the visual and acoustic perception of symphonic clusters, the acquisition of phonological awareness and knowledge of basic concepts in mathematics. An integral part of our research is the formation of a personalized intervention program.
