Abstract

The term "charismatic" has begun to appear in international literature in the recent past. There have been several attempts to define the concept and identify the characteristics of "charismatic people". It is a fact that the proportion of charismatic people in comparison to the whole population varies to single digits, but some of them are also pupils in the first level of education. Although recent legislation (2008) classifies people with developed abilities into people with special educational needs, the question arises of the readiness of Greek preschool and primary education teachers to manage and train a student with higher than average means.

The purpose of our work is to investigate the education provided by public higher education institutions in our country to potential pre-school and primary education teachers on charisma at the level of their basic studies. The study has shown that a very small number of public educational institutions provide their undergraduate curriculum with basic knowledge focused on charisma, mainly as elective courses and up to a maximum of two courses throughout its curriculum.
