Abstract

Modern trend for the production of 'standardized' individuals, makes childhood and its complexity a 'problem' that needs diagnosis and treatment. In this context, Special Education was applied as a pedagogical method for students with disabilities, although it is more related to social, political and economic factors than pupils' educational needs. Students are dealt with regulatory norms imposed by school and society in order for education to be considered successful. However, the definition of success is a political consideration that essentially defines the culture of order and society. Students that oppose to this neo-liberal culture of society will be placed under the diagnosis of the ADHD label. The purpose of this bibliographic research is to highlight the reasons why more and more students are diagnosed with ADHD at the time when inclusion is under negotiation. From this perspective, the way the state "prices" treatments proposed by the agencies and the diagnoses of the experts, raises questions. Taking into account the data resulting from the Health Regulation Statement 2012 and 2015 for special education provision based on student diagnoses, we conclude that ADHD is the only 'available' label and the most 'bloodless' one.
