Abstract

The proper and social interaction with gifted children is a modern necessity. The gifted children without doubt are a differentiating group with their individual skills and intelligence being noticed in a lot of areas. The intelligence is most probably a component of charisma. The tutors can help in understanding the direction of the special requirements of the gifted individuals due to everyday contact. The importance of their role is based on research as well as knowledge of the individual tutor in addition to the truths and misunderstandings that surround such gifted students. Τhe examination of the thoughts and opinions of the educators aids in development and acknowledgement of the future path for the education of gifted children. The main reason for this research was to seek and find opinions from both primary and secondary educational levels with deviations on the subject of gifted children. This research was carried out using a questionnaire which was given to public educational services in Athens. The results are divided into two categories, the social division which is the thoughts of tutors and their approach to gifted children and in a second division opinions from educators about how they believe the education of gifted children should be conducted and. Finally, the research through the opinions of tutors concerning the misunderstandings and the truths proved to be extremely important for changes and future decisions not only from educational point of view but also from the country’s stand point.
