Abstract

Nowadays, new technologies are improved and contribute positively to many areas of citizens' activation. Specifically, however, it seems to be very encouraging to the education of people with disabilities, as it promotes the alternative learning process. The purpose of the research was to highlight how technology impacts on effective learning and education of people with disabilities, as well as to study the implications of this impact on the development of their self-image in relation to the way they are treated educational. The method of research conducted was quantitative, as the sample of pupils attending primary and secondary education were asked to answer questionnaires that were oriented to the purpose of the survey. The findings have highlighted dominant forms of new technologies applied in teaching at the ranks mentioned, as well as the ways in which they influence the effectiveness of learning. In addition, pupils' personal perceptions and beliefs related to the image of their disability management were revealed through the use of new technologies. The results of the research, revealed the contribution of new technologies to the effective education of disabled students and highlighted the importance in shaping their self-esteem, which is capable of putting them in motion to continue their educational path.
