Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the students with behavioral problems (ADHD, oppositional – defiant disorder, aggression, shyness, with phobias) are evaluated according to their teacher at the fields of language and communication skills, self-control and stress regulation. This study was conducted in Munich, where 63 pre-school techers, who were coping with childrent with behavioral problems, took part in the research. Questionnaires were used to collect the data and the evaluation of the students' performance was based on the standarized evaluation tools SELDAK and PERIK. The data analysis programm SPSS was used to process the collected data. The results of the study showed that the performance of childern with behavioral problems differs not only from the average but also among the cetegories of  behavioral problems, as referred above. The results of the study are limitted to the specific area, where is conducted (Munich) and that's why it would be interested to conduct a similar study in Greece and compare the results. Moreover the defferences that were indicated in the performances of children may be a motivation for new studies in order to better understanding and dealing with the behavioral problems.
