Learning difficulties have been and are being researched by many researchers. It is noted with regard to the definitions and the reasoning that there are different points of view, which proves to be a complex problem to this day.
Learning is a very important part of a person's life and requires help to be able to respond and acquire all of these skills and abilities. This assistance comes from teaching, during which the student acquires the necessary information and knowledge provided by the teacher. A prerequisite for this whole process is the learner's ability to learn
Special Learning Difficulties have to do with the difficulty of acquiring the written word (reading and writing) and mathematics, which present children without a physical or sensory deficit and which are not part of Mental Disability.
In this dissertation, we will look at the historical evolution of the definition and characteristics of children with Learning Difficulties. We will also refer to the role of the family and the role of Teachers in children with Learning Difficulties and how they can contribute to the whole process.
Finally, we will focus on the Special Learning Difficulties, which is the main part of the work, as the 5 categories, Dyslexia, Dysorthography-Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia and Dysanagnosia are presented, and suggestions for educational intervention are given.
