Συναισθηματικές επιπτώσεις της δυσλεξίας και προτάσεις πρόληψης και αντιμετώπισής τους
Abstract
This paper deals with the emotional impact of dyslexia on individuals. Its purpose is to investigate and analyze the feelings experienced by people with dyslexia and to propose specific measures to prevent and address its negative effects.
This is achieved through a review of recent international literature on research into the effects of dyslexia on people's feelings. The review of recent English bibliography was made in databases (Scopus, Google Scholar, Science Direct) and in certain journals (Journal of Learning Disabilities). Research shows that dyslexia adversely affects the emotional world of individuals, leading to anxiety, depression, low self esteem, fear, shame. The proposed measures may be particularly useful for parents, teachers and those who are in contact with people with dyslexia.
