Abstract

The evolution in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is changing the world in many ways. Education cannot be absent from this process. Learning conditions in modern schools must meet the demands of modern society. It is therefore necessary to modernize the education provided and to make use of ICT.

This study intends to examine whether and how a program like EPPAIK of ASPETE influences learners' attitudes about the use of ICT.

The sample to be studied consists of people with a good understanding of ICT, who are involved in teaching.

Indicatively, after graduation, 35% of respondents say they are using the technology for teaching purposes very well (while only 8.3% before). Also, after graduation, 46.7% and 33.8% say they are very familiar with the use of Web 2.0 applications (while 19.3% and 17.7% before, respectively).

We find that the main objective of the program, which was the contact and, at least, the familiarization of trainees with ICT, was achieved. Also, people already familiar with the ICT field have gained new knowledge and have dramatically improved the existing one.
