Abstract
This presentation aims to emphasize how important is to differentiate the theories and learning models related to the education of gifted children that apply in our country. Though this study we are investigating each theory’s potential to give these children the right opportunities to develop their gifts and talents.
Through the brief reference to the educational policies pursued, on the one hand in America and Europe and on the other hand in Greece, there is a first comparison between the different ways of coping and support that exist internationally about the education of gifted children.
n the sequel, we refer more specifically to learning theories, educational models and policies applied in America for the education for gifted children, revealing the first steps of the modern global educational setting, regarding this aspect.
Finally, by comparing America's educational policies with the approach of the Greek educational system for gifted children, we seek to raise some initial concerns as concluding remarks.Article Details
