Directors and promotion of school self-evaluation mechanisms: Views of educational staff in schools of Western Attica.

Abstract
Evaluation of the educational project is a very important factor in any improvement efforts of the school organizations. Unfortunately, in our country, the specific weight of the evaluation of the educational project has never been acknowledged and the evaluation process has been exhausted in the passing of state bills, but they have never been implemented as they have always struggled with trade union and political-policy responses. In the context of this problem and on the occasion of the mandatory implementation of the self-evaluation of the educational project, we carried out quantitative research at primary and secondary schools in Western Attica. The survey focused on the exploration of teachers' views on self-evaluation of the educational project. The results highlight teachers' positive attitudes toward self-assessment and recognize the manager as the appropriate person for their implementation, but with the appropriate formal training. The results reflect the reflection of teachers on the impact of self-evaluation on the school climate.
