Utilization of Massive Open Online Courses in eLearning Primary - Secondary Education through the creation of global collaborative networks of pupils and schools

Abstract
A) Introduction: The paper addresses the possibility of using Massive Open Online Courses in Primary and Secondary Education in Greece through a variety of ways. We focus on the structure that these lessons should have for children and adolescents and their integration with the Greek curriculum for all classes. B) The aim of our research is to analyze the context, ways and conditions as well as the advantages, concerns and obstacles of incorporating Massive Open Online Courses into the existing Greek educational system. In addition, we analyze the relationship that can be developed through this educational innovation with children speaking Greek around the world with the aim of promoting knowledge, creating, collaborating and developing healthy dialogue. Our ultimate goal is to highlight specific suggestions and features that a complete Massive Open Online Courses for Greek Primary and Secondary Education should have in order to respond to the characteristics of the student population to which it is addressed. C) Conclusions: Appropriate management of the phenomenon of Massive Open Online Courses combined with the effective exploitation of social networks for the benefit of learning can bring the necessary educational development to the existing educational system, transforming the overall educational model.
