Call for Papers for the 5th New Researchers’ Conference (NRC) on Didactics in Science and New Technologies in Education (10-12 May 2024)

2024-01-08

The New Researchers’ Conference on Didactics in Science and New Technologies in Education (NRC) has now established itself as an important and beneficial event for the community of Didactics of Science and New Technologies in Education.  It involves doctoral and postdoctoral candidates as well as postgraduate students who are in the process of writing their master's thesis.

The discussion and exchange of views between young and experienced researchers in the field of Science and Technology Education ensures the fulfilment of the objectives of the Conference, which are:

  • supporting young researchers in their research pursuits,
  • strengthening the bonds between community members,
  • the co-design of the research orientation, and
  • the further development of research in Science and Technology Education in Greece and beyond.

For the first time, the NRC addresses an international call for participation to international doctoral candidates and postgraduate students.

The success of the previous NRCs and the demand of the community for more frequent meetings of its members ensure the success of the 5th NRC.

A few words about the Conference ...

The Panhellenic Association for Science and Technology Education (ENEFET, www.enephet.gr) organised:

  • In August 2020, the 3ο Panhellenic CNRC in collaboration with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. This conference was planned to take place in April (Easter) 2020, but due to the pandemic, it was moved four months later, and for the first time, it was held exclusively online.
  • In September 2022, the 4th Panhellenic NRC was held in Alexandroupolis at the Democritus University of Thrace.

On 10-12 May 2024, the Panhellenic Association for Science and Technology Education will organise the 5th NRC in collaboration with the Departments of Early Childhood Education and the Department of Primary Education of the University of Western Macedonia in Laimos Prespes (the conference may begin on Friday morning depending on the number of the participants).
