Περίληψη
Η παρούσα έρευνα επικεντρώνεται στο ρόλο που διαδραματίζει η εκπαιδευτική ρομποτική στην εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία της ειδικής αγωγής, ως εργαλείο μάθησης μαθηματικών δεξιοτήτων. Η επικρατούσα άποψη αναφορικά με το ρόλο της εκπαιδευτικής ρομποτικής στην εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία υποστηρίζει ότι η μάθηση μέσω της ρομποτικής, με την κατάλληλη υποστήριξη από τους ενήλικες, είναι μια συνεχής διαδικασία στην οποία μπορούν να συμμετέχουν όλα τα παιδιά. Η παρούσα έρευνα έχει ως στόχο τη διερεύνηση της αποτελεσματικότητας μιας εκπαιδευτικής παρέμβασης, έχοντας ως εργαλείο εκμάθησης επίλυσης μαθηματικών προβλημάτων μία ρομποτική κατασκευή τύπου Lego Mindstorms από έναν μαθητή με σύνδρομο Asperger. Εφαρμόστηκε διδακτική προσέγγιση που συνδυάζει τη μάθηση με το παιχνίδι και υλοποιήθηκε με σενάρια βιωματικών δραστηριοτήτων. Η παρατήρηση και η αξιολόγηση των ενεργειών του μαθητή έδειξαν πως η δράση αυτή βοήθησε να κατανοήσει και να οδηγηθεί στην επίλυση μαθηματικών προβλημάτων, δοκιμάζοντας έναν νέο τρόπο μάθησης ενδυναμώνοντας την αυτοεκτίμηση και την αυτοπεποίθησή του. Επιπλέον από τη συμμετοχή και τις απαντήσεις του μαθητή στα ερωτηματολόγια βγάζουμε το συμπέρασμα ότι διαμόρφωσε θετικές στάσεις έναντι της εκπαιδευτικής ρομποτικής και θα ήθελε να συμμετέχει στο μέλλον σε παρόμοια προγράμματα.
