Περίληψη

Η παρούσα εργασία διερευνά τις αντιλήψεις των εκπαιδευτικών και των μαθητών της ΣΤ΄ Δημοτικού σχετικά με τις επιπτώσεις της χρήσης των tablets στη διδασκαλία και τη μάθηση. Διεξήχθη μια στοχοθετημένη έρευνα (focus group study) με βολική δειγματοληψία σε δάσκαλους (n = 10) και μαθητές (n = 30) σε Ιδιωτικό σχολείο το οποίο χρησιμοποιεί tablet στην τάξη από το 2013. Το γενικό συμπέρασμα αυτής της μελέτης δείχνει ότι η χρήση συσκευών tablet στην τάξη έχει αντίκτυπο τόσο στις πρακτικές διδασκαλίας όσο και στη μάθηση. Τα αποτελέσματα δείχνουν ότι οι δάσκαλοι μπορούν να χωριστούν σε δύο κατηγορίες: τους καινοτόμους εκπαιδευτικούς και τους ‘παραδοσιακούς’ εκπαιδευτικούς. Οι καινοτόμοι εκπαιδευτικοί έχουν αλλάξει το στυλ διδασκαλίας τους προσαρμόζοντας τα μαθήματα σύμφωνα με τα πλεονεκτήματα που μπορούν να προσφέρουν τα tablet. Οι δε ‘παραδοσιακοί’ εκπαιδευτικοί δεν φαίνεται να έχουν τη διάθεση να χρησιμοποιούν τη συσκευή. Τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας δείχνει ότι η εισαγωγή των tablet στη διδασκαλία συνεπάγεται θετική αλλαγή στον τρόπο με τον οποίο μαθαίνουν οι μαθητές, καθώς οι συσκευές παρέχουν διαδραστικά και συναρπαστικά νέα περιβάλλοντα.
